EAF Access Events

At EAF, we are committed to creating inclusive and accessible art experiences for everyone. Our programmes for d/Deaf participants include BSL (British Sign Language) Art Tours, where we offer guided tours of exhibitions across our festival and partner-led programme, led by local d/Deaf tour guides and BSL interpreters. These tours are designed to provide a rich, engaging experience of art, ensuring that d/Deaf individuals can fully engage with the creative spaces and stories that surround them.

We also offer audio-described tours, which cater to blind and visually impaired individuals, providing detailed and descriptive narratives of the artwork and exhibitions around the city. These tours enhance the ability to experience visual art in a fully immersive and accessible way.

In addition to these tours, we host artist talks and interactive workshops by disabled artists during our August festival, where participants can meet with artists and explore their creativity in a supportive and accessible environment. These workshops celebrate the talents and perspectives of disabled artists, providing a space for dialogue, learning, and collaboration.
