Join Us in Celebrating 20 Years of EAF

EAF (Edinburgh Art Festival) is the UK’s largest annual festival of visual art. As we celebrate our 20th Birthday, we invite you to become a part of our vibrant and diverse community. We fundraise for our artistic and civic engagement programmes in their entirety, and your support is essential in helping us continue to foster a thriving arts scene in Edinburgh and beyond. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we have already achieved 95% of our funding targets, but we still need your help to reach our goals.

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us to vitally support artists and enable audiences to experience local and international work in Edinburgh. Your donation supports the work of over 200 artists from Scotland, the UK, Europe, Latin America, and the SWANA region, who will be showcased in the EAF24 programme. These artists challenge us to see the world through new perspectives, fostering connections and inspiring collective action.

Why Your Support Matters

EAF24 is not just a celebration of art, but a call to connect with the historic and contemporary movements that have built infrastructures of care and pioneered activism over the past two decades. Our programme celebrates persistence, tracing lines through personal histories, the natural world, post-colonial landscapes, and the global political stage. We are honoured to showcase artists who, in both grand and subtle ways, refuse inequity, isolation, destruction, and despair.

Help Us Make a Difference

By supporting EAF, you are enabling the voices of artists who inspire change, foster solidarity, and bring people together in meaningful ways. Your support will help us to deliver:

Festival Projects — We curate, develop, and produce works with artists to engage audiences locally, nationally, and internationally. Our aim is to challenge artistic, political, and social conventions.

Civic Engagement — We deliver a series of annual programmes situated at the crossroads of art and activism within our city. We aim to elevate underrepresented histories and stories, including those of queer communities, women, individuals from the global majority, people with disabilities or long-term health conditions, those from low socio-economic backgrounds, and people facing intersecting barriers.

Platforms — We support Scottish-based practice and expertise, developing projects with early-career practitioners across various art forms. We recognise regional talent while fostering national and international connections.

These are unprecedented times for many in our community, with access to the arts threatened more and more every day. Every contribution has a profound impact on what we can achieve together, both collectively and artistically. Our supporters and partners are essential in sustaining our activities. Their generosity, and yours, enables innovative and ambitious artistic commissions, as well as a wide range of engagement and professional development opportunities.

Your donations enable us to provide free and equal access to many of our events and workshops. Purchasing a Solidarity ticket to one of our events allows us to offer reduced cost tickets to those for whom cost would be a barrier to accessing the arts.

Thank you for your generosity, and for being a part of our journey.
