Edinburgh Futures Institute

Edinburgh Futures Institute is a new futures-focused space for learning, research, and innovation at the University of Edinburgh.

The institute is one of six Data-Driven Innovation hubs at the University of Edinburgh and Heriot-Watt University. It is part of a regional power-house for collaboration and data innovation with industry partners, collaborating to use data for good to help make Edinburgh and Scotland a data-driven society and economy.

The institute offers a new approach to research, education and engagement – by collaborating with industry, government and communities to build a challenge-led and data-rich activity that has demonstrable ethical, social, cultural, economic and environmental impact.

Edinburgh Futures Institute occupies the restored iconic, category-A listed Old Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, now transformed into a space for multi-disciplinary collaboration, education, research and partnership.
