For EAF25, Scotland’s artist-driven festival returned for one night only with experimental music, poetry, and performance. JUPITER RISING lit up Jupiter Artland’s magical landscape with the folkloric, wyrd, and wonderful. The event included unique site-responsive performance, plus the return of the infamous late night stage. Showcasing progressive club nights with the best of Scottish and international DJs, JUPITER RISING brought the usual art-drenched chaos, late night dancing, and stunning performance in the woodlands of Jupiter Artland.

The packed line-up featured a live solo set by iconic Glasgow artist and DJ TAAHLIAH, and a curated line-up of poetry and performance from Waterwings Press. Party-goers could explore Jupiter Artland’s summer exhibitions by Guy Oliver and Jonathan Baldock after dark, and catch Baldock in conversation with Queer as Folklore author Sacha Coward.

Sett Studios presented Sett’s March of the Wyrd, processing through Jupiter’s landscape with wild and folkloric characters. Performance artist Florence Peake debuted an Aphrodite-inspired floor painting performance set to be immortalised in a permanent exhibition at Jupiter, while voice artist Roxanne Tataei brought her neo-opera sound from South London to Scotland, taking inspiration from ancient Gaelic Psalm singers.

Trailblazing hair salon and queer nightlife darlings Ponyboy curated the year’s infamous late night stage, bringing a spectacular array of artistry and performance to the supernatural woodland, all night long. Tara of Wheel of Fate also returned for tarot readings throughout the night.
