During his 18-month residency as EAF’s first Early Career Artist-in-Residence (formerly PLATFORM), Halley will continue to develop his practice across the Civic Programme. He will work with EAF to engage Edinburgh’s communities through workshops, discussions, and participatory events, inviting local audiences to reflect on their own relationships with memory, place, and transformation. Through this integrated approach, Halley will become a mentor for EAF’s second Early-Career Artist-in-Residence, sharing knowledge and learnings with artists across our Festival and Civic Programme into 2026.

EAF Access Tours
Through the EAF Civic Programme we provide audio-described tours, which cater to blind and visually impaired individuals, providing detailed and descriptive narratives of the artwork and exhibitions around the city. These tours enhance the ability to experience visual art in a fully immersive and accessible way.
In addition to these tours, we host artist talks and interactive workshops by disabled artists during our August festival, where participants can meet with artists and explore their creativity in a supportive and accessible environment. These workshops celebrate the talents and perspectives of disabled artists, providing a space for dialogue, learning, and collaboration.
