Collective

Collective’s unique home on Calton Hill features the historic City Observatory, City Dome, and a new purpose-built exhibition space.

Collective’s programme of exhibitions, events and walks presents contemporary art in all its diversity. They provide artists with the opportunity to make new work. They also give audiences the chance to see new work first through their gallery spaces.

By inspiring, engaging with, and learning from the people and groups around the gallery, they aim to contribute to local, national, and international conversations.

In the area

Collective is housed alongside the National Monument on Calton Hill and the Burns Monument on Regent Road. At the bottom of nearby Jacob’s Ladder, you’ll find Graham Fagan’s work, A Drama in Time.
