Chessels Court

Located off of the historic Canongate, Chessels Court is the site of EAF's permanent commission by Toby Paterson, the Sociology of Autumn.

Chessels Court is a tranquil close associated with historic town planner Sir Patrick Geddes’ network of green spaces in the Old Town, and today entered from the Canongate through an arcaded frontage designed by architect Robert Hurd in the 1950s.
