As part of their EAF25 offering Linder: Danger Came Smiling, RBGE hosted a free introduction to the work, in which a Botanics volunteer shone a light on their favourite aspects of the new exhibition.

Danger Came Smiling was Linder’s first retrospective in Scotland showcased 50 years of trailblazing artwork. It dove into her fascination with plants and invited audiences to see beyond traditional ideas about gender and sexuality. Deliciously satirical, her photomontages remixed images from popular culture, ranging from early pin-up photography to house plants.
