PAST EVENT: This was part of the 2024 programme
As part of EAF24, an outdoor site-specific light installation by Prem Sahib – Liquid Gold.
Presented after hours in collaboration with Bard, the artist invited viewers to be spectators, but never cross the threshold to the building’s interior. The positioning of viewers outside of the space itself invited commentary on inclusion, basking in this inaccessible yellow light with its allusions to glory, power, transcendence, and spirituality, as well as bodily substances.
This work, first initiated as part of Sahib’s White Cubicle installation at the George and Dragon, London, emerged from his ongoing exploration into codified relationships inherent within colour, form and spatial contexts.
