Making and Deepfaking the News Workshop

How can we tell fact from fiction in a world of deepfakes? How does a profession like journalism – based on truth, verification, and trust – deal with AI-enabled deception and disruption? Join us on a journey through journalism in the age of artificial intelligence; in our interactive workshop you’ll debate emerging ethical dilemmas in the newsroom, learn about tools and techniques for synthetic media detection, and contribute your vision for the future of news.

The workshop will be facilitated by Dr Bronwyn Jones and Dr Rhianne Jones.

Tea, coffee and cakes will be provided.
