Love from the Pink Palace – In Conversation with Jill Nalder

Join Edinburgh Art Festival and Waverley Care at Traverse Theatre for an evening with writer Jill Nalder, celebrating her five-star memoir: Love from the Pink Palace: Memories of Love, Loss, and Cabaret through the AIDS Crisis.

Jill will be discussing the injustice, resistance, tragedy and love that made up her experience of the 1980s during the emergence of the AIDS crisis, as well as the transformation of her work into Channel 4’s hit series It’s a Sin.

Along with Jill’s discussion, attendees will have the chance to meet Jill and have her sign your copy of her book, which can be pre-ordered with your ticket. The Traverse Theatre bar will be open before and after the event, to allow you to chat with fellow audience members, and Lavender Menace will be running a pop-up book stall for all your Queer literature needs. Donations from ticket sales will support Waverley Care’s vital work supporting those affected by HIV in Scotland.

Event Location:  Traverse 2: Traverse Theatre, 10 Cambridge St, Edinburgh, EH1 2ED
