Sierra Metro presents an exhibition of new work by Australia-based artist Haein Kim, exploring the modern woman’s psyche, materialism and puppies.
Following a residency within the gallery space, Kim invites us into a playful world of humorous and bold protagonists, who readily express their fear, anxieties, love and determination. She is interested in the mixing of real life and digital experiences, and encourages viewers to digitally share their own interactions within the exhibition. Her drawing practice is meditative and labour intensive, experimenting with opacity and vibrant colours. The new works will take form through drawings and life size cutouts.
