National Galleries of Scotland’s Family Art Baskets are FREE to borrow every afternoon during the school holidays. In each basket you’ll find lots of creative, fun ideas and materials to help your family have fun making and exploring art together.
In your basket you will find…

- Drawing materials
- A viewfinder to help you focus and see nature in a new way
- Activity ideas to spark your imagination and boost your whole families’ confidence in art making
- A picnic blanket
There’s lots to see inside too – visit the National Galleries of Scotland’s families page to plan your visit – and don’t worry if it’s not ‘picnic’ weather – we have a rainy-day art and snacks space inside!
