The 2022 festival saw the initiation of the Community Wellbeing Collective, initiated by artist Jeanne van Heeswijk. The Community Wellbeing Collective (CWC) is a group of 28 people (and growing) living in and connected to Wester Hailes who run activities to support community wellbeing, originally based in the Community Wellbeing Space at Westside Plaza Shopping Centre.
Throughout the festival, the space hosted activities and gatherings led by members, with anchor events by invited guests. The programme expanded upon the context of community wellbeing, discussing democratising social care, discussing inequalities asking who wellbeing is for and the embodied future of community. Anchor events were hosted by Care and Support Workers ORGANISE!, Grass Roots Remedies, Jess Haygarth, Spit it Out Project and more.
